Based on our knowledge and experience we have put together an alternating 28 day trip for you. The journey starts in Uganda; the green pearl of Africa. You visit the safari land Tanzania and we finish our trip in Kenya , the land of enchanting nature and many tribes.

Day 1
Flight Amsterdam – Entebbe. At the airport you will be welcomed and after an 1.5 hour drive, you arrive at the children’s village Children’s Welfare Mission (www.kinderhulp-afrika.nl) This village is located south east of the capital Kampala.The first 2 nights you stay in the guesthouse of the children’s village.

Day 2
Guided tour of the children’s village. You may attend a class because the children’s village has its own primary and secondary school. Upon arrival on Saturday there is the possibility to attend the Sunday service.
Explanation of your car and camping equipment. Stocking up supplies for the coming days (at local markets among other places).

Day 3 61 km
Today you will first drive yourself and you will discover the hectic traffic around Kampala. As we leave the city it becomes more quieter on the road so you can enjoy the green, hilly landscape.
After about 2 hours we arrive in the city of Jinja, we stay just outside the city at a campsite on the banks of the River Nile.

Day 4
Jinja is the ultimate place for both experienced and inexperienced rafters. Not only the rafting but also the beautiful green surroundings make this day memorable. Should the raft be too wild than we offer a boat trip to the source of the Nile and visit the city Jinja.

Day 5 267 km
A driving day from Jinja to Eldoret on good roads. We camp at Naiberi River Camp. This site has a very special restaurant and a swimming pool. ( www.naiberi.com )

Day 6 253 km
A driving day from Eldoret to Naivasha on good roads. You will be welcomed by the monkeys on this spacious campsite situated at Lake Naivasha. At dusk, the hippos come out of the water to graze. This camp site has a pool.

Day 7
While staying at Lake Naivasha, a visit to Hell’s Gate National Park is on the program. This is one of the few parks where it is allowed to go on a bike safari. It is a special experience to be cycling between the zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, gazelles and baboons.
The park is located around the crater of the dormant volcano Mount Longonot. We visit Njorowa gorge on foot. This gorge is only a few meters wide in some places. It is a winding worn crack in the rocks. The gorge was the scene of several action movies, including Tomb Raider / Cradle of Life.

Day 8 240 km
To get our destination quicker we drive most of the day on the tarmac road to Talek, one of the entrances to Masai Mara National Park. We stay at a campsite located next to the entrance gate of the Masai Mara at the Talek river, so in the evening you have a beautiful view over the vast plains and you may spot the first game from your lazy chair.

Day 9 80 km
Today you make a game drive in the Masai Mara National Park. The landscape consists mainly of grass plains with acacia trees and riparian forest. Wildlife is therefore easy to see: wildebeests, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, leopards and wild boars across the plains. The acacia trees are the domain of the giraffes. They feast on the leaves, twigs and shoots. The Mara River flows in the reserve, which is best known for the annual migration of zebra and wildebeest.

Day 10 150 km
A lovely off road route through the area of the Masai. We camp in the wild on top of a hill with beautiful views. In the evening a campfire, which is Africa at its purest!
Day 11 250 km
Driving day (partly off road) from Entesekra to Nairobi. We spend the night at a campsite about 30 km south of Nairobi. Here you can enjoy the outdoors with views of the Ngong Hills. Just relax by the pool and maybe a Tusker (Kenyan beer).

Day 12 till 17 460 km
Lake Natron National Reserve-Ol Doinyo Lengai-SerengetiLake Natron is an alkaline soda lake with special colors and with a large concentration of flamingos, surrounded by a particularly rugged volcanic landscape at the foot of Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano, the sacred mountain of the Masai tribes. Lake Natron is located at the lowest point of the Great Rift Valley adjacent to Kenya. Besides the many flamingos, pelicans flock here in the rainy season, zebras too, and during the dry season the rare gerenuk and oryx.The landscape is dominated by rolling hills and savanna interspersed with volcanic granite rocks. In this area we ride some off-road routes and we camp in the wild.We visit the area east of the Serengeti. The domain of the Masai, where hardly any tourists come. A beautiful hilly area with fantastic views. Depending on the season many wildebeest, zebra and deer graze here.

Day 18 100 km
Lake Manyara NP. When you enter the National Park, you will find yourself in a tropical jungle full of monkeys, waterfalls, babbling brooks with crystal clear waters and hot springs. The road leads you further through the jungle to open grasslands, forests, marshes and eventually Lake Manyara. The lake has an area of ​​390 km2 and is home to large herds of elephants (the highest density of all of Tanzania per km2), buffalo, giraffe, impala and hippo. The Lake Manyara National Park is famous for the lions which can climb trees. The bird lovers will come into their own here. Nearly 500 bird species are concentrated primarily around the lake. Herons , pelicans , ospreys and the thousands of pink flamingos. We spend the night at a campsite with a pool, a few kilometers outside of Lake Manyara NP.

Day 19 324 km
Driving day Mto wa Mbu – Kibaya .The first part of the trip we drive on tarmac roads. In the afternoon we leave the main road and drive through many small villages where you can regularly get to do some shopping or to take pictures and come into contact with the locals. We spend the night at a campsite.

Day 20 240 km
Driving day Kibaya- Korogwe. A wonderful off-road ride through the hilly and green area of northeastern Tanzania.

Day 21-22 100 km
Korogwe – Tanga. A short off-road drive towards the coast of Tanzania. We stay 2 nights at Peponi beach resort. Take a rest from all the impressions and wash off the dust!

Day 23-24-25 167 km
Tanga -Tiwi. Through the coast route we cross the border into Kenya. The camp where we spent 3 nights is located on the beach. You can enjoy two days of sun, sea and the white sandy beach. Other attractions in the region include Mombasa Marine National Park.

Day 26-27 384 km
On tarmac road we drive back to Nairobi. On day 26, we stay at Hunters Lodge.On day 27 we stay again at The Whistling Thornes, located 30 km south of Nairobi, where you can once again enjoy the outdoors overlooking the Ngong Hills.

Day 28
Flight Nairobi – AmsterdamYou will be taken by taxi to the Nairobi airport.
